BAGEL BRUNCH
Sunday September 11th: A New Beginning Bagel Bonanza featuring a delicious bagel potluck, spiritual preparation for the High Holidays, and time for our community to join as one to honor the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Please bring a brunch dish, bagels or a bagel topping to share. 10 am – 12:30 pm at the Rosenkotz’s yurt on Coyote Farm Lane.
HIGH HOLIDAYS

We are so excited to have Rabbi Hanna Tiferet Siegel back with us again to help us celebrate the High Holidays. As in the tradition of Shir Hayam, the more of our community we can get involved the more meaningful our rituals will be. Please let Rabbi Hanna or one of the Ruach members know if you would like to participate this year. We need to know who will be involved by the end of August. This year’s theme: “Do We Have a Choice?”

CROP Hunger Walk – October 2
Shir Hayam will participate in the IFC sponsored CROP Hunger Walk. 25% of what we raise goes to the Helpline Food Bank and the remaining 75% to hunger fighting programs around the world. Everyone can participate as a walker or a pledger. Please contact Denise Brown or Rachel Kerbrat to join the Shir Hayam walk team.

Keeping Judaism Alive for Young Adults Discussion
Join us Wednesday, September 7 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at a private home in Bellevue to share an evening of Torah learning and thoughtful discussion with Rabbi Sholom Ber Levitin from Congregation Shaarei Tefilah Lubavitch. Rabbi Levitin will discuss how to keep Judaism alive for young adults once they leave high school or college and begin creating their own homes.
